Alumni Gatherings

       Nursing Alumni Reunion was held at Trump Taj Mahal Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA, on September 24-25, 2010.

       Nursing Alumni Reunion was held at Trump Taj Mahal Hotel, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA, on September 24-25, 2010. This was attended by batches from 1980 to 1992. Attendees with their family members came all the way from London, Norway, Canada, Hawaii, California, Michigan, Chicago, Washington, New York, New Jersey,   Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and the Philippines. The occasion was graced by the Guest Speaker, Prof. Thelma  Rebucal, the former Dean of the College. Some of the alumni donated materials/books and  materials for the Nursing Arts Laboratory. The materials were solicited by Prof. Teresita Ann O. Tinio, one of the attendees of the reunion.

Other reunions and homecomings celebrated within the University were:

  • CTE class 1985  also had their Silver Homecoming last December 28, 2010. It was attended by about 40 graduates together with their former mentors and CTE administrators.

  • MMSU LHS-Laoag Batch 1985 celebrated Silver Jubilee and Alumni Homecoming last December 29, 2010. This was highlighted with a thanksgiving mass, motorcade and a simple program with some university officials, federation officers, former mentors and other alumni from various Batches of LHS.

  • CBEA Grand Alumni Homecoming highlighted with the launching of the CBEA Alumni Project : “Big Brother-Small Brother” and “Faith  Building” Program.  A ceremonial laying of the cornerstone of the proposed Faith Building was conducted last   February 12, 2011. There were 162 alumni attendees who gave their support to the program.

  • Last February 13, 2011, members of NLTC Batch 1966  celebrated their 45 years as graduates of their Beloved Alma   Mater. The class truly prepared for it as they had monthly meetings in the Philippines  as well as special meetings abroad. About 80 members from the Philippines and from abroad were able to make it to the special day. The activities included (a.) motorcade, (b.) mass (c.) program (d.) business meeting (e.) night socialization and (f.) aftershock mini-reunions. Former mentors were invited and some were asked to share a short talk during the program.

  • The overall coordinator of the affair, Dr. Ligaya T. Miguel, DepEd Regional Director was the Master of Ceremony during the program. As a gift to the Alma Mater, the class has donated two sets of computers and gave an initial amount of 86 thousand pesos for the Balay-Alumni Project of the Alumni Relations Office.

  • The members of NLTC Batch 1971 also    celebrated their alumni Ruby Anniversary last March 26-27, 2011. The celebration happened in different venues. It started at their very own Alma Mater through a short program where Dr. Borja presented a short history of the College including its programs while Dr. Rosabel L. Acosta presented the programs and activities of the alumni affairs office college with focus on the Balay-Alumni Project. Two members, Superintendent Raguindin and Director Ramiro, gave short messages. Batch 1971 then pledged 71 thousand pesos for the Balay-Alumni though the support could be more. Laying of the Cornerstone was done in November 2011.

  • In addition, Class 61 had their Golden Anniversary last December 9, 2011 at CTE while the 1st Grand Homecoming of Normalites of Hawaii is being conducted at Hawaii on the same date. Also graduates of Class 86 celebrated their Silver Anniversary last December 27, 2011.

  • MMSU LES Batch 1985 also had its homecoming at LES quadrangle last March 23, 2011. Alumni of LES Batch 1985 gathered together to the place they once considered a second home. Various activities were conducted during the celebration. The event kicked off with a motorcade of the alumni. Then, a program was conducted and presentations showcasing the talents of the alumni.

  • This was followed by another homecoming by LES-LAoag Batch 1986 las December 14,2011 at LES Outdoor Stage. The homecoming was capped with a business meeting of the members of Batch 1986 and the LES Alumni Office in which matters on proposed linkages and projects were discussed.

  • Moreover, CAFSD-Dingras also conducted alumni reunion last December 16, 2011 which was attended by 22 graduates. Hon. Bismark Angelo A. Quidang, President, MMSUFAAI was the guest speaker.

  • MMSU LHS-Batac likewise had its Grand Alumni Homecoming followed  with the election of officers for the chapter last December 26, 2011 at the MMSU Function Hall.

  • In the College of Engineering, an ALUMNI HOMECOMING Program was  also conducted last December 27, 2011 at COE quadrangle. This was highlighted by  a fund raising activity “LUNCH for Cause” to support future activities and projects of the chapter.

  • Likewise, CHS Alumni Association Chapter initiated the CHS Grand Alumni Homecoming last Janury 7, 2012 at MMSU, Teatro Ilocandia. This event showcase various activities to promote camaraderie and love to the  institution by the alumni.
